Profile

I started my journey into bodywork as a sport massage therapist, but decided I wanted to know more, so graduated with a Masters in Osteopathy in 2009 from the British College of Osteopathic medicine, for which I got a distinction.

Family life is something that is very important to me and I believe that health should be a faimly issue. I love children and being a mother of two very young kids understand how hard it can be to find time to look after yourself as well as the rest of your family. There is always a bank of toys on hand should you have to bring your kids to an appointment.

I like to use lots of different techniques; massage, mobilisations and manipulations all form a large part of what I do, but I also like to encorporate cranial osteopathy and visceral osteopathy where appropriate.

Having previously been trained as a personal trainer I have a very good understanding of exercise and how beneficial it can be to help reduce long term illness and pain.

I have  always had a love of sport and played hockey at national level and more recently run in a few half marathons. I love to get out in the fresh air and do any form of exercise I can from walking to skiing

I am committed to Osteopathy as a profession and believe that treatment should start as soon as you pick up the phone to talk to us, and my phone is always open for questions or reassurance once you have left.

Kate is a member of the General Osteopathic Council (the regulatory body for Osteopathy) and The British Osteopathic Association.

Having done various types of body-work, including Yoga, Meditation and Tai-Chi, the natural step forward for me was to become a therapist and continue bodywork on a different level. After I did a course in Zen-Shiatsu, my curiousity only grew bigger and eventually I decided to become an Osteopath.

This has brought me to the UK, London, where I have studied in one of the UK’s leading institutions for Osteopathy, the British College of Osteopathic Medicine. Thanks to BCOM’s wide range of course modules, I was able to work as a Sports and Deep Tissue Massage therapist for the last 3 years of my degree and gain knowledge and experience with sports related injuries, muscular tension as well as postural issues and other common ailments.

I offer a relaxed, no-hurried atmosphere that is caring, informal yet responsible and up to date. The most important thing for me is to listen to the patient’s needs and work on a person to person level.
